Mastiff puppy training is a task that any owner of this large dog will probably want to undertake at
some point preferably while they are a puppy and before they are set in their ways. However, for some
people this might be a hard task for them to do and they are going to want to look for a way to complete
this simply. Here is a tip that I managed to find that helped me with my Mastiff puppy training with very
few problems.
The tip that I found was to ensure that my kind loving pet knew that I was the one in charge and not
him. If you have this breed of dog then I am sure you probably know how stubborn that they can be and
how difficult it can be to train them if they think that they are the ones in charge. The way that I
found that worked for me in getting my loving pet to learn that I was the one in charge was by staring
him down.
You might be asking what exactly I mean by staring him down and that is very easy to explain. You
probably played the game when you were a kid growing up with your friends where you would stare at each
other for a long period of time and the one that looked away first either by distraction or giving up
would be the loser. Well the stare down with your loving pet is the same way except you only do this
when you know that your dog is staring at you. You want to make sure that he is the one that looks away
first and that is the first step to establishing that you are the boss.
